About the Artist
L. David Eveningthunder is a self-taught contemporary Native American artist. An enrolled member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes, he calls United States Indian Country home. David paints and draws in an array of media, specializing in portrayals of contemporary American Indian pow wow dancers. He founded Eveningthunder’s Contemporary Native American Arts (C’NAA), a highly visible pow wow businesses, in 1989. David, who paints and draws from his life experiences at many Indian Reservations and pow wows, has won numerous awards and honors. His most fervent hopes are to perpetuate cohesiveness among all peoples, preserve the Native American culture, and bring a deeper understanding of the American Indian Culture to all people.
